Universidad Catolica Stadium-Competition

A new entertainment district in Santiago with the most contemporary stadium in Chile.

In joint venture with Re\Venue, we were shortlisted in an architecture competition promoted by Club Deportivo Universidad Católica. The challenge included not only remodeling the current San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium, but also transforming it into an international standard multi-use complex.

The programme for the new San Carlos de Apoquindo was designed to keep the stadium alive 365 days a year, while providing Católica fans with an unforgettable experience at every match.

Stadium capacity was increased to just over 20,000 spectators, segmented across different price and service levels to cater to fans of all backgrounds and levels of engagement with the club.

Several premium spaces were also created, elevating the matchday experience for fans and corporate guests alike, in line with a growing trend across stadiums around the world.

Visitors can enjoy the stadium in many different ways, from using the gym during the week to watching a match from the rooftop with the best views of Santiago.

Our design, commercial and business plan proved to be a perfect blend of architectural vision and financial feasibility, creating a new landmark while respecting the character of the Las Condes neighbourhood.
