Rio 2016 was our most operationally complex engagement to date. We entered the project at the earliest stages, developing the overlay budget and Bill of Quantities for the entire Games alongside the Organising Committee's technical and procurement teams. That early involvement gave us a depth of knowledge that proved critical when we were later awarded the Delivery Partner contract, leading a consortium responsible for overlay delivery across more than 40 venues in 3 clusters.
The Delivery Partner role was not a conventional supplier relationship. It required complete integration with the OC's planning and operational teams, and in practice extended well beyond the original scope, absorbing gaps left by other suppliers under significant time pressure. We also took on the full setup and operation of the Olympic Stadium, managing all facilities and the transition between the Olympic and Paralympic Games with a dedicated on-site team.
Three areas of work, each building on the last, across one of the most demanding multi-venue delivery programmes in recent Games history.

We were proud to partner with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee at early stages to develop the overall overlay budget and consult for the technical and procurement team.
We worked inside the Rio 2016 OC offices alongside architects and Venue Managers to develop the entire Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the Games.
The final result was extremely accurate, drawing on our local experience from FIFA World Cup 2014 and aligning with IOC practices and consultants throughout a very challenging project.

We supported the Rio 2016 Organising Committee by leading the Overlay Delivery Partner consortium, managing suppliers and guaranteeing deliveries on site across more than 40 venues distributed across 3 clusters.
We led a consortium of diverse expertise and knowledge that was awarded the Delivery Partner contract for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The relationship between the Organising Committee and the Delivery Partner goes beyond a simple client and supplier dynamic, demanding complete synergy and commitment to schedule and quality.
Working under extreme time pressure, the team fulfilled the OC's expectations while also serving as a last-minute one-stop shop for operational and infrastructure solutions, covering scope gaps left behind by other suppliers.

Our role during the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games also included the full setup and operation of the Olympic Stadium before and during the Games.
We led the operation and management of all Olympic Stadium facilities before and during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The challenge was enormous due to overlay construction schedules, changeover movements and legacy adaptations. Our team was responsible for all facility management and maintenance during Games time and the transition to the Paralympic Games, including a dedicated team of civil workers, plumbers, electricians and stadium managers.
